A body believed to be that of Julian Ingram has been discovered in remote bushland in western New South Wales, marking a significant and dramatic development in the months-long investigation into the Lake Cargelligo triple shooting that shocked Australia.
According to New South Wales Police, a deceased male was located in a “decomposed state” near an abandoned vehicle in the Round Hill Nature Reserve, approximately 50 kilometres north-west of Lake Cargelligo. A firearm was also found at the scene, and authorities believe the remains are those of Ingram, pending formal identification.
Ingram, 37, had been the subject of an extensive manhunt since January 22, when he was accused of fatally shooting his former partner Sophie Quinn, her friend John Harris, and her aunt Nerida Quinn in a violent incident that devastated the small regional community.
